MPPSC Prelims Exam 2017 Paper I Analysis & Cutoff Prediction

As soon as the exam gets over, the biggest worrying thing is expected cutoff. Everyone has his/her own point of view regarding cutoff and it is perfectly natural. The fact is, for any examination, cutoff is like a exit poll kind of a thing post-exam; though it certainly is more predictable than the exit polls which generally fail terribly.

Coming to the point, MPPSC Prelims 2017 Examination has been an exception going by the previous record of MPPSC GS Papers. Previous ones were more predictable in approach, primarily current affairs oriented and a majority of questions asked were about Madhya Pradesh.

This year they changed the trend astonishingly. The questions, many of them, were unconventional going by the previous MPPSC papers. But all said and done, how should we grade this question paper amongst others?

First of all, last year MPPSC Prelims Exam cutoff was 81 Questions which is quite high. As the trend has changed, cutoff will certainly fall. But lesser number of seats this time will have exactly the opposite effect on the cutoff.

To sum it up, I predict a cutoff of 66-72 Correct Questions out of 96 Questions for General Category students. (I have already marked the 4 wrong Questions in the Solutions to paper I, for more details please click here: MPPSC Prelims 2017 Paper I Solutions .)

Please feel free to post comments and ask for clarifications, if any. All the best for preparations. Good Luck!!
